Privacy policy
Who is responsible
TriQuest is operated by Tirox Consulting AB (reg. no. 559103-6149), Ödsmål, Sweden, the controller of the processing described here. Send questions about your data to support@triquest.se.
What we process
- Account: name, email address and password (the password is stored only as a hash, never in plain text).
- Profile and planning: what you tell us about yourself and your training, such as experience, races, when you can train, your thresholds (FTP, threshold heart rate, threshold pace, CSS) and your gear.
- Training: planned and completed sessions with duration, distance, heart rate, power, cadence, speed, laps and GPS track, and your feedback, such as perceived exertion, how you felt, sleep, motivation and notes.
- From services you connect: see Connected services.
- Coach: what you write to TriQuest Coach and the images you attach.
- Social: username, profile picture, sessions you share with friends, comments and reactions, and your position during a session if you choose to show it live.
- Technical: your iPhone's push token if you allow notifications, and technical request logs (without the content you write).
What we use it for
- To build, schedule and adapt your training plan.
- To show your completed training, calculate your training load, fitness and fatigue, and compare them with what was planned.
- To let TriQuest Coach answer your questions and propose changes. Nothing in your plan changes until you approve it.
- To show what you choose to share with friends or with a coach you have given access.
- To send notifications you have allowed, and to keep the service secure and working.
We process your data to provide the service you have chosen to use. Connections to other services, sharing and notifications only happen when you turn them on. We never sell your data and never use it for advertising.
Connected services
Strava
Connecting Strava is your choice, and reading and uploading are two separate settings, both off by default.
- Get sessions from Strava: when you turn it on, TriQuest reads your activities: summary, data recorded over time (such as heart rate, power, speed and GPS), laps, perceived exertion and the gear you used. If you like, your last 7, 30 or 90 days are read as well. We use them to show your training, mark planned sessions as completed, calculate your training load and adapt your plan. Activities read become part of your training in TriQuest and are used like the rest of it.
- Send completed workouts to Strava: when you turn it on, TriQuest uploads the sessions you complete to your Strava account. Strava applies your own default for who sees them.
- Disconnect: disconnecting Strava in TriQuest revokes TriQuest's access at Strava and deletes the keys. You can also revoke it at strava.com/settings/apps. Activities already read stay in your training until you delete them or your account.
Apple Health
The TriQuest iPhone app reads only the Apple Health data types you allow, such as workouts with heart rate and routes, and sends them to your TriQuest account. You can change the permission in your iPhone's settings at any time.
Who receives data
- Providers that run the service for us, such as hosting. They process the data on our behalf only.
- The AI provider behind TriQuest Coach: when you use the Coach, your question and the training context needed to answer it are sent.
- Strava, when you have chosen to send sessions there, and Apple for notifications to your iPhone.
- Map and weather services: maps load from a map provider, and forecasts are requested for a place without your identity.
- Other TriQuest users, only what you share yourself: sessions with friends, your live position during a session, or what you give a coach access to.
Some of these recipients may process data outside the EU/EEA. When they do, it is with the safeguards the GDPR requires, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep your data for as long as you have an account. A session you delete is gone. When your account is deleted, everything belonging to it is deleted: profile, plan, training, feedback, Coach conversations, social content and connections. Technical logs are kept for a limited time and contain nothing you write.
Your rights
You have the right to know what data we hold about you, to have errors corrected, to have your data deleted, to receive it in a machine-readable format and to object to the processing. Write to support@triquest.se and we'll help you. That is also how you delete your account.
If you are unhappy with how we process your data, you can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (imy.se).
Changes
If the policy changes, we update this page and the date above. We tell you about larger changes in TriQuest.
